FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Los Angeles, January 15, 2016 - On The Ground Floor (OTGF) is pleased to present a drippy, sticky, redolent group of new works that collectively relay our human dance with desire. "Bang Bang," a group art exhibition on view February 13 - March 19, 2016, features projects by eight emerging artists who venture onto the merciless terrain of a salacious kind of devotion. Through paintings, photographs, videos, readymade sculpture, and works on paper, this show tiptoes into the bedroom, the bathroom, the back seat, and the back pew to take a closer look at intimate life.
Curated by Malika Ali with recent works by Annique Delphine, Lilac Abramsky-Arazi, Jedediah Johnson, Ralph Dunn, Julia Barbosa Landois, Christopher Wiggins, Emily Heath, and Cindy Hinant.
On The Ground Floor is a South LA based, alternative art space established in the spring of 2014. OTGF hosts art shows, talks, performances, and workshops that seek to foster meaningful conversations about the arts, create organic connections for artists, and preserve space for curatorial experimentation and exploration. Located at 3616 Mount Vernon Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90008, on the first level of a two-story residence nestled in the hills above historic Leimert Park.
"Bang Bang" is open during events and by appointment only.
