FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Los Angeles, CA - On The Ground Floor (OTGF) is pleased to present a group exhibition of new works featuring a global assortment of video artists who push the boundaries of the moving image.  "Electric Walls" will run through November 8, 2014.

The Electric Walls: Art Tour & Talk is Saturday, October 11th from 7pm - 9pm.  OTGF Curator Malika Ali will discuss the color symbolism uniting several works inside "Electric Walls."  Los Angeles based artists Black Leader, Tamara Cedré, Adam Yasmin, and Kaitlynn Redell of the collaborative Redell & Jimenez will be in-house to offer insights into their video practices and approach.

"Electric Walls" features seven artists and two collectives: Redell & Jimenez, Tamara Cedré, Isabelle Lutz, Krefer & Turca, Mauricio Sanhueza, John Smither, Roland Wegerer, Adam Yasmin, and Black Leader.  Their combined works form a concert display of rhythm, sensuality, satire, and digital interactions showing through light boxes, projections, and monitors in conjunction with photographs, paintings, or installations.

On The Ground Floor was established in the spring of 2014 as a gathering space for the exhibition and celebration of new works of art and contemporary culture.  Located at 3616 Mount Vernon Drive, LA, CA 90008, on the ground floor of a two-story residence in the View Park district of Los Angeles.  OTGF hosts salons, talks, and parties that unite emerging artists with art enthusiasts, budding and seasoned collectors, and our South LA community at large.

Admission for the Electric Walls: Art Tour & Talk is $18.  Upcoming Events include a Closing Party on November 8, 2014.  Please visit our Calendar for more details.

10% of all ticket sales for "Electric Walls" will be donated to our Arts & Literacy Initiative which is used to support visual & performing arts programs and help stack the library collections for LA County Jails.
